You Are the Wilds

You Are the Wilds is a solo journaling experience where you embody the world itself. You are the subtle balance of life and death. You are the roar of ocean waves, the majesty of mountain peaks, the creak of wind through the boughs of trees. You are the spaces between what is called civilization. And even there, your power pushes roots through street and building. Should civilization cease its vigilance, you will reclaim the spaces it once held. You grow. You evolve. You endure.

Your existence is punctuated by moments of dawn and dusk. As those cycles repeat through eternity, so too do your environs flourish and falter. Dawn heralds growth, movement, rising action, and effort put forth into the world. Dusk is the shepherd of decline and decay, rot and residue. 

There is no morality attached to these terms; where the dungeon is the shepherd of evil spaces and the tavern a source of cherished good, you simply are. Even the moral actions which take space from you or regrow portions of yourself are but tinges, shades of someone else's color on your palate. As with all things, they will fade, as you persist.

Your work of highlighting moments ceases when you wish it to. The cycle of dawn and dusk will proceed whether you call out specific moments or not. The wilds cares not if it is perceived or known. Bear witness to the cycle of moments as you see fit.

You are the crash of branch and the whisper of the wind 
You are a feral cry and the hush of a padding foot 
You the vastness of the sea and the world in a grain of sand 

You are life and death 
Drought and flood 
Rot and bloom 

You Are the Wilds
